Martin (Anderson), Cheryl.  Born 7/9/47.  Died 11/1/25.  

Cheryl Marie Anderson, 78, of Wappingers Falls, New York, was born to Harry and Mary Martin in Duluth, Minnesota, Cheryl grew up as an only child and lost her mother at the young age of 17, dropping out of school and  caring for her the year before she passed, which started  a life defined by caregiving and dedication to others - the elderly in particular.

A devoted wife, mother, and nurse, Cheryl was the beloved wife of the late Gerald F. Anderson and a proud mother. Survived by Daughter Victoria (Douglas) LaPerche,their children a blended family,  Nick(Jessica), Andriana (John), Evangelos, Stavros , Erin (Alex), Shannon (Steve), and Megan (Justin). Younger Daughter Heather (Craig) Rahko with grandchildren Kimberly and Patryck. Brother-in-law Shawn (Brenda) Anderson, niece Jenna (James)Kendall and Kevin Anderson, great grandchildren, cousins, and many friends. Her life was guided by the same compassion and diligence that marked her long and meaningful career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. As a caregiver both by profession and by nature, Cheryl touched countless lives with her gentle hands and generous heart.  

Outside of her work, Cheryl found joy in the simple and beautiful things of life. She loved knitting and sewing, often creating thoughtful gifts for her grandchildren. Her kitchen was known for the comforting aromas of homemade breads, jams and jellies after picking the wild berries for days with her daughters.

Though she spent her later years in New York, Cheryl’s heart always remained tied to her Minnesota roots. Her strength, practicality, and quiet humor carried the unmistakable spirit of the North Shore and continuing family traditions. She will be remembered as a woman who gave of herself — to her patients, her family, and her community.

Cheryl’s presence will be profoundly missed but forever cherished by those who knew her and loved her.  'Faith is a journey ~ not a destination'
