Hughes (Mattinen), Judy.  Born 9/3/47.  Died 6/15/10.  

Judith K. (Hughes) Mattinen, 62, of Esko, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010, in Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet.

She was born Sept. 3, 1947, in Duluth, to Gerald and Helen (Matuszak) Hughes. Judy graduated from Denfeld High School and was united in marriage to Dennis Mattinen on Aug. 16, 1969, in Duluth.

She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet, the Finlandia Beach Club and the Eagles Aerie No. 1163 Auxiliary. Judy loved camping and especially her grandchildren.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; two sons, Joe (Jody) Mattinen of Esko and John (Holly) Mattinen of Cloquet; four grandchildren, Ashley, Benjamin, Allison and Andrew Mattinen; one brother, Ronald (Bernice) Hughes of Duluth; one sister, Claudia Wilhelm of Cloquet; and 11 nieces and nephews, Jim, Laurie, Rhonda, Ginger, Judith Lynn, Mike, Connie, Greg, Jim, Eric and Lisa.
